The time to act is now! Get informed on the issues that will decide the fate of America.
SPOTLIGHT ON RACIAL RECONCILIATION REFERENDUM
Racial reconciliation can only be achieved through the teachings of Christ. The concept of “one new man” as stated in the book of Ephesians is not some ethereal or unattainable reality; it is in fact the way in which the Church is called to function. Despite historical and policy differences, it is imperative that all races come together and allow old wounds to heal, in order to preserve the moral fabric of America. There needs to be an intentional movement toward integration in our churches and in our organizations. We must see each other as equal partners with the same goals. We must stand together on the moral issues of our day. The church needs to come together and be an example of racial unity to the nation.
The diversity of people across America is what makes this nation special. The U.S. has attracted numerous amounts of immigrants looking to better their lives through education, find superior job opportunities, which in return has created a vibrant culture and diversified workforce. However, our Immigration system is broken. The process to permanent residency and naturalization is filled with years long processing delays, unfinished background and security checks, and often leaves many immigrants unable to enroll school or attain high pay grade jobs. The goal of Immigration reform should be to restore the integrity of immigration laws through more effective enforcement; and offer a fair and orderly way to allow many of those currently living here illegally to earn the right to remain legally.
The first amendment rights of Christians are being treaded upon by politicians and radical atheist who want to see God erased from every bit of society. There are numerous lawsuits filed against pastors and religious institutions attempting to muzzle the voice of the Church. Whether it is a hate crimes bill, taking the Ten Commandments out of public places, or keeping prayer out of schools and school sponsored functions, it is clear that there is an agenda to silence those who have religious beliefs.
Our nation needs a principled and balanced approach to the stewardship of our planet and environment. The egregious policies and philosophies put forth by "green evangelists," do not fully address creating a solution that benefits our economy as well as using the earth's resources properly. This challenge provides an unprecedented opportunity to revive our economy, move towards renewable sources of energy, reduce our dependence on oil, and create millions of green jobs.
